You built the business to create freedom. So why are you the most trapped person in the building?

Every season of my life has built toward one thing: helping others create freedom through systems, discipline, and substance.
12 years in the United States Marine Corps. Two combat tours. The discipline, leadership, and composure under fire that became the operating system for everything that followed.
Built Signal Security from 1 location to 8 across 3 states. 130+ employees. $1.5M ARR. Learned every lesson the hard way so you don't have to.
Now I help service-based business owners ($250K to $15M) escape the operator trap. Real advice from someone who's actually done it. No theory. No hype.
It started in 1891 at the Bourgeois Meat Market in Thibodaux, Louisiana. My family didn't just work. They built. Generation after generation, we put our names on things and then put the work behind them to make those names mean something.
That heritage was already in my blood when I raised my right hand in 2000 and joined the United States Marine Corps. I spent 12 years in uniform, including combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, learning what leadership actually looks like when the stakes aren't quarterly earnings but human lives.
In 2010, my brother Nicholas Bourgeois, a Marine Corps Infantry Officer, was killed in action. That loss redefined everything. It stripped away the trivial. It made urgency permanent. Nicholas didn't get a tomorrow, and that reality burns through every decision I make. I don't waste time. I don't play small. And I don't tolerate excuses, from myself or anyone I work with.
After separating from the Marines in 2012, I bought my first Signal Security franchise in Baton Rouge. Within years, I scaled to 8 locations across Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi, employing over 130 people. I learned every brutal lesson about hiring, firing, cash flow, partnerships, and the loneliness of ownership the hard way. No silver spoons. No safety nets.
In 2024, I launched The Bourgeois Strategy to take everything I'd learned in combat, in the boardroom, in failure, and in growth, and put it to work for other business owners. Not the ones looking for motivational quotes. The ones looking for someone who's actually been in the arena.
Outside of business, I'm a father of four. I pursue comedy because laughter keeps you human. I drum because rhythm demands presence. I model because confidence is a muscle. I'm a man of faith, reborn in 1995 and still being refined.
I'm not polished. I'm not a guru. I'm a work in progress who happens to have 130+ years of family entrepreneurial heritage, 12 years of military service, and 13 years of building businesses to draw from. If that's the kind of person you want in your corner, let's talk.
I coach service-based and blue-collar business owners who are doing $250K to $15M in revenue and want to build companies that run without them.
One-on-one executive coaching tailored to your business, your stage, and your goals. Direct, honest, and built around execution. No templated programs. No fluff.
Small-group facilitation where business owners sharpen each other. Curated for chemistry, structured for accountability. The room you've been missing.
Keynotes and workshops on leadership, scaling operations, and building systems. Military precision meets real-world business application. Not motivation. Execution.
Process documentation, system creation, and operational audits for businesses ready to scale beyond the founder. I build the machine so you can step out of it.
Transparency isn't a branding exercise. It's how I operate.
Commercial Security Services | Baton Rouge, LA
My flagship operation. Built from one territory to a multi-state footprint, now refined and focused. Currently running 30+ employees with a clear trajectory toward debt payoff and strategic positioning for sale or succession.
8 Locations → Strategic Consolidation
I scaled to 8 locations across 3 states with 130+ employees. I also learned that bigger isn't always better. Partnerships dissolved. Markets shifted. I consolidated, took the hits, and came out with hard-won clarity about what growth actually means. I share this story because the guru industry hides the losses. I lead with them.
No clickbait. No listicles. Just honest perspective from someone still figuring it out.

I do stand-up comedy because laughter keeps you honest and human. I play drums because rhythm demands you be present, not in your head. The same principles that make a good Marine, a good entrepreneur, or a good father also make a good performer: preparation, timing, and the willingness to look foolish in front of strangers.
